Job Duties

Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, and coupons following company policy
Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss
Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
Adhere to policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
Comply with all food safety regulations and guidelines
Identify unsafe conditions or issues and notify store management
Inspect equipment and report items needing repair
Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
