Job Requirements

  • Work experience or training, which includes the exchange of money for purchases and making change
  • Proven prior successful customer service experience
  • Oregon Food Handlers Card

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience or training including exchange of money for purchases and making change
  • Proven prior successful customer service experience
  • Oregon Food Handlers Card
  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Two years cashiering experience preferred
  • ServSafe Certificate preferred

Job Duties

  • Obtain previously counted cash from a central cashier supply and count and verify beginning amount
  • Receive monies or process credit card purchases for goods and services in dining area, bookstore, retail store, parking lot or ticket booth
  • Total purchases and collect correct amounts and make accurate change
  • Perform routine food service duties such as cutting cakes and pies, serving prepared foods, filling condiment and napkin dispensers
  • Maintain customer service standards and provide general information and directions
  • Assist with customers' needs and requests, stock shelves with books and store and food service items
  • Record sanitation and temperature logs and perform routine cleaning tasks
