Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss honestly and effectively
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and equipment issues
- Provide a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Provide assistance and support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Maintain adherence to all local, state, federal laws, and company policies
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
