Job Requirements

Customer service experience
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of basic math such as counting, addition, and subtraction

Job Qualifications

Experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk preferred but not required

Job Duties

Greet and engage customers actively at the point of sale
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS system
Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons following company guidelines
Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted items sales, and pricing discrepancies
Maintain awareness of current promotional materials and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing maintenance
Foster a welcoming environment that addresses customer inquiries and needs across the store
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company safety procedures
Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively, acting with honesty and integrity
Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as necessary
Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues promptly
