Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively at the point of sale
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS system
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons following company guidelines
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted items sales, and pricing discrepancies
- Maintain awareness of current promotional materials and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing maintenance
- Foster a welcoming environment that addresses customer inquiries and needs across the store
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company safety procedures
- Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively, acting with honesty and integrity
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as necessary
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues promptly
