Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and other payment methods
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with all ads and promotional materials
- Comply with all food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions or equipment and notify management
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
