Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, and coupons according to company policy
- Control loss by adhering to cash shortage and overage limits
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Adhere to safety programs and food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
