Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Handle various tenders including Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons and follow checkout procedures
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal, present and future ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs
- Create a welcoming environment and answer customer product questions
- Comply with all local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
