Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively at the checkout lane
- Process customer transactions accurately, efficiently, and quickly using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- Monitor and control cash shortages and overages while adhering to loss prevention guidelines
- Adhere to company policies on the sale of restricted items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for issues like postage stamps and gift cards
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards while complying with food safety regulations and company safety programs
