Job Duties

  • Greet and engage customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sales, and coupon use
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the appropriate coordinator
  • Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with promotions, seasonal, and special ads
  • Comply with food safety regulations and store safety procedures
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflict responsibly and nonconfrontationally
  • Maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
