Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policies
  • Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and company safety procedures
  • Reinforce safety programs by identifying unsafe conditions and notifying management
  • Properly inspect equipment and report repairs as necessary
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
