Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist them
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for gift cards and postage stamps
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Maintain adherence to food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
- Create a welcoming and informative environment for customers
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Seek assistance when necessary to resolve business issues
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
