Job Duties

  • Greet customers actively and assist them
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for gift cards and postage stamps
  • Stay current with seasonal and special ads
  • Maintain adherence to food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Create a welcoming and informative environment for customers
  • Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Seek assistance when necessary to resolve business issues
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
