Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service experience
- Basic math skills including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist them with their needs
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow established coupon and gift card procedures
- Stay current with promotions, seasonal, and special ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and contribute to maintaining a safe store environment
- Inspect equipment and notify management of any repairs needed
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict calmly and reasonably
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
