Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to cash control policies and loss prevention guidelines
  • Follow procedures for restricted sale items and company policies
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow established coupon and gift card procedures
  • Maintain food safety standards and store safety programs
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs promptly
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Manage conflicts in a reasonable and non-confrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Provide direct support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
