Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers in accordance with company policy
  • Adhere to guidelines on cash shortages, overages and restricted sale items
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with seasonal and special ads
  • Follow food safety regulations and maintain a safe environment
  • Notify management of unsafe conditions and equipment repair needs
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and professionally
  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
