Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers in accordance with company policy
- Adhere to guidelines on cash shortages, overages and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Follow food safety regulations and maintain a safe environment
- Notify management of unsafe conditions and equipment repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Manage conflicts reasonably and professionally
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
