Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively and courteously at checkout lanes
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sales items, and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies and maintain food safety and workplace safety standards
- Identify and notify management of unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair
- Provide product information and help create a welcoming shopping environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act honestly and maintain integrity when handling customer and business information
