- Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively in fast-paced environments

Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage, and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages and overages and control loss effectively
- Understand and follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Provide welcoming service and answer customer questions about products
- Adhere to local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
