Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and engage with them during transactions
- Process customer purchases quickly and accurately using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit and debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and complex loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash handling, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Comply with food safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist customers by answering product questions and providing excellent service
- Identify unsafe conditions and report to management
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment managing conflicts professionally
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
