Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide customer service by answering questions about products and store
- Work cooperatively in high paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
