Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
  • Operate the POS system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons according to company policy
  • Control loss by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies
  • Adhere to policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions and ads
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions and notify store management
  • Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Follow all laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
