Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Operate the POS system and handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons according to company policy
- Control loss by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies
- Adhere to policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain knowledge of current and upcoming promotions and ads
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- Follow all laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
