Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- handle multiple tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies on cash limits, restricted items, and loss prevention
- report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- maintain current knowledge of promotions and adhere to food safety regulations
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- seek assistance when needed to resolve issues
- provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
