Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred

Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tender types according to company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and control loss effectively
- Ensure compliance with guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to Scan Coordinator
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
- Abide by all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Manage conflict cooperatively and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding business and customer information
- Seek assistance as needed to resolve issues
- Provide support through interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
