Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, complex loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy
  • Understand and adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and loss prevention
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
  • Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
  • Adhere to established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
  • Comply with food safety regulations
  • Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management
  • Inspect equipment and notify necessary personnel of maintenance needs
  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • Adhere to all relevant laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
