Job Requirements
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition and subtraction
- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist with checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sales items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with store promotions, seasonal and special ads
- Maintain food safety standards and comply with safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions or issues and notify management
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repairs
- Create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a professional and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
