Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and courteously at the checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to cash handling guidelines to prevent shortages or overages and report pricing discrepancies
- Follow procedures for restricted sales and maintain compliance with food safety regulations
- Reinforce safety protocols by identifying and reporting unsafe conditions and performing equipment inspections
- Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions and supporting customers of all ages and needs
