Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic math skills including counting and addition
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Control loss by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages
- Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Maintain equipment and report repair needs
- Provide friendly and informative customer service
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
- Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Follow directions and seek help when necessary
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
