Job Duties

  • Greet customers actively and engage with them throughout their shopping experience
  • process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policies
  • control loss by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages
  • enforce guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
  • report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
  • stay updated on current and upcoming store ads and promotions
  • comply with all food safety regulations and company safety programs
  • inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • work cooperatively in fast-paced environments and manage conflicts reasonably
  • act with honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • perform essential functions with or without accommodation
