Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and engage with them throughout their shopping experience
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policies
- control loss by adhering to company limits on cash shortages and overages
- enforce guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay updated on current and upcoming store ads and promotions
- comply with all food safety regulations and company safety programs
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- work cooperatively in fast-paced environments and manage conflicts reasonably
- act with honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
