- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus
Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages and overages and work to control loss
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions and providing assistance
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
