Job Duties

Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
Handle various types of payments including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and apply company policies on transactions
Adhere to company policies on cash overages and shortages, and restricted sale items
Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for special items like postage stamps and gift cards
Keep current with seasonal and special ads
Comply with food safety regulations and promote safety by identifying hazards and reporting them
Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and report repair needs
Create a welcoming environment by answering product-related questions
Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
Manage conflicts calmly and respectfully
Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information
Follow directions and seek help as needed to resolve issues
Provide direct support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
