- Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred
Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately
- Use POS system to manage various payment forms including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items and transaction procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for gift cards and coupons
- Stay updated with current and seasonal ads
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions to management
- Inspect equipment and notify appropriate personnel of needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
- Manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
