Job Requirements
- Customer service experience

- prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk preferred

Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers actively and courteously at the point of sale
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- handle multiple payment types including cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policies
- adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- report pricing discrepancies promptly to the Scan Coordinator
- follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay informed on current, seasonal, and special promotions and ads
- comply with all food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- identify and notify management of unsafe conditions or issues
- perform preventive maintenance checks and report equipment needing repairs
- create a welcoming atmosphere by answering customer questions about products and services
- uphold all local, state, federal laws and company policies
- work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- maintain honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek help as needed to resolve issues
