Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and courteously
- Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers per company policy
- Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and control loss effectively
- Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies
- Comply with food safety regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and identify unsafe conditions for management
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repairs needed
- Create an inviting atmosphere that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
- Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
