Job Duties

  • Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and courteously
  • Process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers per company policy
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages and control loss effectively
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items and report pricing discrepancies
  • Comply with food safety regulations and company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment and identify unsafe conditions for management
  • Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repairs needed
  • Create an inviting atmosphere that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
  • Manage conflict reasonably, nonconfrontationally, and cooperatively
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
