- Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is desirable
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using POS systems
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special advertisements
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Comply with store safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and report equipment needing repair
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- Provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
