Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively in the store environment
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons following company procedures
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay up to date with current, future, seasonal, and special store promotions and ads
- Maintain food safety regulations and promote store safety by identifying hazards and notifying management
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on equipment and report issues
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products and store services
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict reasonably and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
