- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work in a fast paced retail environment
- strong interpersonal skills
- basic math skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service to customers
- process checkout and/or return transactions
- monitor and maintain the self-checkout area
- seek product/project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
- follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
- position cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- approve point of sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, self-checkout, returns, pro desk, special services, and tool rental
- provide first level escalation for customer issues
- assist in supervision, coaching and training of front end associates
- participate in training new cashiers and utilize tools for coaching and development
