Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers in a visible and engaging manner
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various tender types including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and other payment methods according to company policies
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and ensure compliance with policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed about current, future, seasonal, and special store advertisements
- Follow all food safety regulations and contribute to a safe shopping environment
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report concerns to management
- Provide product information to customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws as well as company policies
- Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
- Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
