- Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is preferred

Job Duties
- Be visible and actively greet, engage and assist customers
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sale items and checkout procedures
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with seasonal and special ads
- Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment needing repair
- Create a welcoming and appreciative environment for customers
- Comply with all local, state and federal laws and company policies
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
