Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively at the checkout
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the POS system
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and company loss prevention policies
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and creating a welcoming environment
