Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and warmly
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the point of sale system
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company guidelines regarding cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
- Follow established policies and procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special promotions and advertisements
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs to management
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products
- Comply with all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
