Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items and coupon acceptance
- Report pricing discrepancies
- Follow procedures for postage stamps and gift cards
- Maintain knowledge of current and future promotions
- Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and report repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
