Job Duties

  • Greet, engage and assist customers actively
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
  • Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons and loyalty offers
  • Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items and coupon acceptance
  • Report pricing discrepancies
  • Follow procedures for postage stamps and gift cards
  • Maintain knowledge of current and future promotions
  • Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures
  • Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
  • Perform preventive maintenance checks and report repair needs
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers
  • Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity
  • Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs and older adults
