Job Duties
- Greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies to appropriate personnel
- Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with promotions, ads, and food safety regulations
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
- Provide customer service by answering product-related questions
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflicts in a professional and cooperative manner
- Uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Support special customer groups including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
