Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently through POS system
- Handle various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons according to company policy
- Adhere to company policies on cash shortages, overages, and restricted sale items
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with ads and promotions
- Comply with all food safety regulations, safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repair needs
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering product questions
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict reasonably and non-confrontationally
- Uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
