Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively during checkout
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point of Sale system
- Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policy
- Maintain adherence to loss prevention guidelines including limits on cash shortages and overages
- Follow procedures for restricted sale items such as alcohol and tobacco
- Report pricing discrepancies to management
- Comply with food safety regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and safe checkout environment
- Assist customers with questions about products and store services
- Handle conflict in a cooperative and nonconfrontational manner
