Job Duties
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return
- demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety
- greet, engage, and assist customers actively
- process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the Point of Sale (POS) system
- handle various tenders such as cash, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers
- adhere to company policies on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and checkout procedures
- report pricing discrepancies
- follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- stay current with seasonal and special ads
- comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures
- identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
- provide product information and answer customer questions
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
- provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
