Job Duties
- Greet, engage and assist customers actively
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently
- Handle various tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons according to company policies
- Adhere to guidelines on cash shortages, restricted sale items, and loss prevention
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay current with advertisements and promotions
- Maintain food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
- Provide product information and create a welcoming environment
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflict respectfully and effectively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding confidential information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
