Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service experience preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to handle transactions accurately
- ability to assist customers proactively
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace

Job Duties
- Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling
- proactively offer additional assistance, thank customers for shopping at Wegmans
- efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments
- properly bag items to ensure products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
- manage traffic flow in the self-checkout area, direct customers to available lanes, ensure the lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting
- maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work space
