Job Duties

  • Greet customers actively and assist them during their shopping experience
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system including handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and other payment types
  • Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sale items, coupons, and loyalty offers
  • Report pricing discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to management
  • Follow food safety regulations and store safety procedures
  • Create a welcoming and respectful environment for customers by answering product-related questions
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety for customers and staff within the store
  • Manage conflict calmly and professionally
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults when needed
