Job Duties
- Greet customers actively and assist them during their shopping experience
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane
- Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system including handling cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and other payment types
- Adhere to company policies regarding cash shortages, restricted sale items, coupons, and loyalty offers
- Report pricing discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to management
- Follow food safety regulations and store safety procedures
- Create a welcoming and respectful environment for customers by answering product-related questions
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety for customers and staff within the store
- Manage conflict calmly and professionally
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults when needed
