Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cashier or retail experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Physical capability to lift and handle merchandise
- Availability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Good communication abilities
Job Qualifications
- Ability to process information/merchandise through register system
- Ability to communicate with associates and customers
- Ability to read, count, and write accurately
- Ability to operate all necessary equipment for the job
Job Duties
- Engage guests in friendly conversation while making eye contact, scanning grocery items and completing monetary transactions
- Accurately bag items as needed to ensure products arrive in good condition
- Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Accurately and efficiently process transactions and maintain all cash and media at registers
- Communicate guest requests to Guest Services leadership
- Maintain orderly appearance of register station and ensure proper supplies/inventory is stocked
- Ensure all quality standards are met including quantity expectations by specified times
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain regular, timely attendance and notify replacements for absences
