Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of cashier experience
  • basic computer skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • availability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • attention to detail
  • problem solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • minimum one year of cashier experience
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
  • knowledge of point of sale systems
  • ability to train and develop staff

Job Duties

  • provide fast and friendly customer service at checkout
  • process checkout and return transactions accurately
  • monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
  • seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities
  • follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink
  • position and support cashiers during busy periods
  • expedite price checks and approve point of sale transactions and markdowns
  • handle first level escalation of customer issues
  • assist in supervision coaching and training of front end associates
  • participate in training new cashiers and coach other cashiers
