- Experience in handling cash and various payment methods
Job Duties
- Greet and engage customers actively
- Process transactions quickly and accurately using the POS system
- Handle various payment forms including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, and coupons
- Adhere to company policies on cash handling and restricted sales
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
- Stay informed about current promotions and ads
- Comply with all food safety regulations and reinforce safety programs
- Maintain equipment and report repairs
- Assist customers with product questions and create a welcoming environment
- Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflict with professionalism and integrity
- Protect customer and business information
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
